Coming to the remote, its a handy little unit with a good ergonomic layout of buttons.

We have high hopes from AmazonBasics products and we expected nothing less from this AC. Fortunately the AC did not disappoint. For starters the cooling capacity is more than adequate at a respectable 9000 BTU. Add to it the PM2.5 filter and the AC doubles up as an air purifier too. Similarly the AC unit is well put together and although doesn’t particularly feel premium, surely is far from being shabby. However it feels a bit too lean, and is quite light weight.

This is a 0.75 Ton AC and expecting it to be sufficient for a medium sized room would be a gross underestimation. However plonk it in a small room and the 8700 BTU cooling capacity starts to work wonders. The airflow capacity at max fan speed is just shy of 200 CFM which should be adequate for a small room. On the contrary the remote is small and some buttons are too slim to be termed easy to use.

Alright, the performance or cooling as in this case is very good. The rotary compressor uses R22 refrigerant and is capable of 11100 BTU / hour cooling capacity. This compressor is married to a blower which in turn blows 450 CFM of air in the room, cooling and bringing the humidity and temperature down quickly, with no fuss.
