1. OnePlus Buds Z2 ANC TWS Earbuds

11mm drivers, microphone, IP55, 7 / 38 hours battery, ANC, USB typeC

Build Aspect

OnePlus Buds Z2 are the latest iteration of TWS earbuds with ANC capabilities from OnePlus. Right of the bat they feel a very worthy successor to OnePlus Buds Z, that is the quality that these earphones have. For instance high quality plastics, rich glossy finish and a pocket-able design all are tell-a-tale signs of  premium yet value for money quotient of these earbuds. Similarly the fitting is decently comfortable and as a result of small ear stems they look flamboyant. The charging case enables the overall playback time of 7 hours (ANC off) to be extended to nearly 38 hours, which is quite the feat. While currently these are sold in just 2 colors, black and white, a stylized version like the Steve Harrington Buds Z could be on the cards sometime in future.

Performance Aspect

The original Buds Z had strong bass response and a sculpted sort of sound profile, that is a winner. Evidently the Z2 have got a similar sound profile with boosted highs and strong lows. In layman terms these earphones have boot full of bass and punch and the treble is crispy and sparkly. The earphones sound good mostly, unless you are a purist, in which case you would feel that the mid-range is drowned out. Moving on, the ANC is apt and does a very good job of cancelling ambient static noises such as engine and machine notes. Moreover the microphone facilitates calls with perfect intelligibility, which is a definite bonus. All in all these TWS wireless earphones are quite desirable and hence one of best under ₹ 5000 rupees, although if ANC is not needed then the original OnePluz Buds Z Earbuds can be had for lesser price.

PROS

Solid, premium build.
Good ANC capability.
Solid lows and extended highs.
Superb call quality.

CONS

Mid range is a victim of auditory masking.
Low latency, Atmos only work with OnePlus phones.

2. JBL Tune 230NC TWS ANC Earbuds

6mm drivers, microphone, IPX4, 10 / 40 hours battery, ANC, USB typeC

Build Aspect

JBL Tune 230NC are a pair of earphones with Noise Cancellation capability. They feature a light weight build which is easy and comfortable on the ears, even if the stick out a little bit. However the plastics used are well simply put “not the best in business”. Furthermore the hinge on the case leaves a lot to be desired. Having said that the matte type finish on earbuds and the case look neat always, unlike glossy finishes. The battery life is an abundantly long 10 hours for the earbuds with the case capable of charging them 3 times over. It is impressive!

Performance Aspect

Equipped with 6mm drivers these earphones have superb audio output. The bass on the earbuds is fantastic, not only does it have a deep and pronounced effect, it is boosted in the entire bass band, which gives the sound fantastic depth. Additionally the mid range is very balanced and clear. Last but certainly not the least, the highs. The treble response and output is on the warmer side, that is a bit laid back. Nonetheless it is these traits that make the audio sound smooth yet quite detailed. About the ANC, it is sub-par and isn’t magical unlike some of the more expensive earbuds. Similarly the call quality is strictly average, it would be fine in quiet environments but poor in slightly noisy ambience. In a nutshell this pair of earphones are fantastic to listen to and are one of best wireless earphones under ₹ 5000, period.

PROS

Fantastic audio output.
Strong, punchy bass.
Exemplary battery life.

CONS

ANC is hokum!
Build quality is average.

3. Jabra Elite 3 TWS Wireless Earphones

6mm drivers, microphone, IP55, 7 / 28 hours battery, USB typeC

Build Aspect

The Jabra Elite 3 TWS earbuds are a very competitively priced pair generally speaking. They have a smallish design which is too simple, i.e., boring and dull. Although that does give them a rugged and unbreakable feel. On top of that the fitting is very comfortable and stable. Intuitive touch controls and a pocket-able charging case adds more feathers in its cap. A very respectable battery life of 7 hours on a single charge and 28 hours all inclusive with case make it a promising pair of TWS earbuds.

Performance Aspect

The Jabra Elite 3 wireless earphones have a overall impressive musical stance. We would go ahead and say that accuracy is its middle name! Admittedly the audio is very transparent and high fidelity. For instance bass is sweet, with an ever so slight boost which will keep you engaged. Similarly the mids are pristine and mesmerizing, the timbre and balance is quintessential. Finally the treble, its detailed and focused. However it does feel that it got the short end of the stick here. Nevertheless considering the larger picture the earphones sound opulent and lavish for the money. An adequate call quality ensures that these earphones are termed as one of the best wireless earbuds around ₹ 5000 in India.

PROS

Smashing neutral overall sound quality.
Perfectly comfortable fitting.
Superb battery life.
Transparency mode.

CONS

Monotonous looks.
Noise isolation is less than optimal.

4. Sony WF-C500 TWS Earbuds

5.8mm drivers, microphone, IPX4, 10 / 20 hours battery, USB typeC

Build Aspect

The Sony WF-C500 are affordable yet premium pair of TWS earbuds which succeed the loved Sony WF-XB700. Their build quality and finish are decent as a result they feel rich for the money. In what is definitely an added advantage is the presence of IPX4 water resistance which was sorely missed previously. Furthermore the looks are also more matured and evenly rounded, fitting evenly inside the ears. Alas thanks to the included ear tips of varying sizes the in-ear fitting is comfortable and mostly snug, which improves audio performance, gives better noise isolation and consequently less prone to accidental popping out. In what can be described as giving a killer blow to competition is the single charge battery life. These earphones can run for nearly 10 hours on single charge with the case holding enough juice for another such full charge, taking the total playback time to 20 hours.

Performance Aspect

The audio quality is the factor which can single-handedly decide the fate of a product. Having said that its comforting to state that these are a definite improvement and better sounding than the Sony WF-XB700s. They excel in providing deep, rich bass with excellent transients. Additionally the mid-range is spotless, its truly amazing that the vocals & instruments such as flute, piccolo, trumpet and even likes of xylophone sound realistic and natural. There is a wrench in the works though, which is the culpable treble. Its somewhat dull, especially in higher range which comprises of hi-hats, triangles, which are lost in background. In a surprising development the call quality is oodles better and very usable. Therefore considering all that these earbuds are capable of it would be sagacious to say that these are definitely one of the finest earphones under ₹ 5000 in India.

PROS

Solid built, premium looks.
Really long single charge battery life.
Superb call quality.
Mesmerizing beats and mids.

CONS

Lackluster treble and highs.
Charging case is woefully under equipped.
Disappointing control scheme.

7. Anker Soundcore Life P2 True Wireless Earbuds

6mm drivers, microphone, IPX7, 7 / 40 hours battery, CVC, USB type-C

Build Aspect

Anker Soundcore Life P2 True Wireless earphones are a very elegant and classy looking pair of TWS earphones. They sport a very rich looking matte finish on both the earbuds and the case which gives them their rich looks. The size of the case is a bit large but then it is able to recharge the earbuds almost 5 times bringing the total battery capacity to 40 long hours. Thanks to the interchangeable ear-tips and plenty of in box options, finding a comfortable fit is not an issue.

Performance Aspect

The Anker Soundcore Life P2 wireless earphones really shine in the audio department. The bring a very well balanced audio profile and then add a bit of bass boost to it to give an incredible value for money performance that is hard to beat. What we mean is that they have a very good mid-range performance which brings out oodles of clarity and impressive instrument separation. Similarly highs are well pronounced and focused, revealing sonic nuances with intricate details with ease. No all is rosy about these earphones though, and microphone performance is really bad and call quality is rather poor. Taking in to account the respectable audio performance and wonderful battery life it would be fair to say that Anker Soundcore Life P2 are one of the best wireless earphones under 5000 rupees in India.

PROS

Superb audio performance and output.

CONS

Hopeless microphone performance.

8. Sony WI-XB400 Wireless Extra Bass in-Ear Bluetooth Earphones

12mm drivers, microphone, 15 hours battery, USB typeC

Build Aspect

Sony WI-XB400 which are nearly identical to the WI-C310 have a more or less simple design. A rather long cable connects the magnetic earbuds, one of which houses the inline controls and microphone. Thanks to the fairly small size and extra silicone tips provided the overall comfort is rather decent. Additionally these also isolate much of the outside noise. Flat and rubberized cable along with plastic earbuds contribute to the overall light weight. However the wires are bit thin and raises concerns about long term durability of the same. The overall battery capacity is good and the quick charge capability makes them a breeze to use. Available in black and blue colors.

Performance Aspect

Sony earphones as has been noted usually have a fairly good sonic character to them. This particular model is no different and the audio reproduction is right on the money. Perfectly blended bass is neither too light nor too heavy, however it digs fairly low. The mid range accuracy is superb and same is noticeable in quality of vocals. While the treble is not as perfect as the other parts of spectrum its not a deal breaker either. Overall sound imaging is excellent with enough volume capability and dynamics, all of it make for a captivating experience. In conclusion these are fabulous pair and one of the Best wireless earphones under ₹ 5000 in India.

PROS

Audio quality is good.
Well balanced bass, mids.
Decent quality of materials used.
Comfortable fit.

CONS

Thin cables.
No IP rating.

Build Aspect

These sport a Airpods like design profile but many visual cues easily distinguish them from the Airpods. Furthermore the earbuds are made from good quality plastic which gives them a sturdy and high end feel. Likewise the case looks and feels as good as the earbuds themselves and feels relatively strong while having a rather slim profile. Sine these have a half in-ear fit , the overall comfort and seal will vary quite a bit depending on your ears profile. Additionally the battery capacity is good and will last a few days before needing top-up.

10. OPPO ENCO W51 True Wireless Earphone

7mm drivers, microphone, IP54, 24 hours battery, ANC, USB type-C

Build Aspect

OPPO Enco W51 might look simple in first glance but the minute details help them give a rich and premium feel. For instance the earbuds and stems are made from plastic with a gloss finish that has a fantastic iridescent effect on the outer surface and a matte finish on the inner sides. On the flip-side the case felt a wee bit less premium and thought for. For example the hinge feels flimsy, as if it could snap easily. Additionally the case needs two hands to operate. Moving on.. in-ear comfort levels are good. Similarly these are light in weight and cause no discomfort when used for prolonged sessions. Furthermore IP54 rating means these have some protection against the elements. Combined battery of case and earbuds is rated at 24 hours of usage. Available in two colors white and blue.

Performance Aspect

Oppo W51 have a tuning of sound with a slightly recessed mid range. While bass is present with full authority it lacks in output in lowest octaves, as a result EDM tracks and tracks with electronic bass of subsonic frequency will lack the necessary groove. Similarly treble is airy and fast, however it borders on being sibilant on some recordings. ANC is decent and subdues plenty of ambient noise. Likewise call quality is really good too. In short this is a feature rich pair and a jack of all trades and therefore one of the best wireless headphones under 5000 Rupees in India.

PROS

Premium quality earbuds.
Engaging sound profile.
ANC is good.
IP54 rating.
Case supports QI wireless charging.

CONS

Bass lacks rumble in lowest registers.
Case is a bit flimsy.

11. CrossBeats Torq Touch TWS Earbuds Earphones Earbuds

18mm drivers, microphone, IPX6, 12 / 36 hours battery, ENC, USB type-C

Build Aspect

The Crossbeats Torq are touted to be a flagship killer pair of earbuds. It has solid grounds on which it makes this claim. For starters the earbuds feature humongous 18mm drivers. Then there is IPX6 rating, touch controls, wireless charging, I mean its got all the bells and whistles. Additionally the build quality is undoubtedly very good, despite the fact that the case looks monotonous. However the buds themselves are ergonomic and elegant, therefore the comfort levels are very good. Last but not the least the claimed runtime of the earbuds are 12 very long hours on a single charge which can be extended to nearly 36 hours with the charging case. All of this make for a compelling case for the Torq Earphones.

Performance Aspect

Everything on paper does not always accurately describe the true audio performance of a product. For instance while these earbuds have got 18mm drivers the treble is sadly a little coarse. Although it is revealing and fairly accurate at low and low mid volumes it starts to loose composure at louder volumes. Mid range is decent and is poised to deliver sonic nuances which will not disappoint you. The vocals, instruments all sound good albeit a bit warm and therefore less engaging. On the flip-side the bass and lows are truly spellbinding. Beats are fast, punchy and the subsonic frequencies are aplenty, we are dazzled! On the call quality front the earbuds do an average job as the ENC does an effective job cancelling unwanted noises. All in all its suffice to say that these wireless earphones are one of best under ₹ 5000 in India.

PROS

Strong and deep bass.
Hefty build and contemporary looks.
Wireless charging case.
Superb battery life.

CONS

Coarse treble takes the kick out off of music.
Overall audio profile is warm and lacking in dynamics.
Somewhat glitchy connectivity.

12. Belkin SOUNDFORM True Wireless Earbuds

unknown drivers, microphone, IPX5, 24 hours battery

Build Aspect

Belkin seeks to corner a chunk of the budget Bluetooth audio market with its new true wireless earbuds. Soundform True Wireless Earbuds have some decent specifications which include IPX5 rating, a combined 24 hour battery capacity and touch controls. Driver size is unknown but an educated guess would say these are 8-9mm drivers. The case and earbuds both are simple and compact. Moreover the overall texture is grippy and feels sturdy. Available in two colors, black and white.

Performance Aspect

The sound signature of the Belkin earphones is impressive. Especially the bass, it has boatloads of it but it is never boomy. Equally important is the treble which keeps pace with bass. No matter what the volume the sound was always full of energy and without distortion. In other words the sound reproduction is great on these. On the contrary the call quality is just average. In short this particular pair of Bluetooth enabled wireless earphones are a good choice in the ₹ 5000 price segment subject to some shortcomings.

PROS

Rich bass and extended highs.
Excellent dynamics and tonality.
Build seems durable.
IPX5 rating.

CONS

A bit pricey.
Touch controls are counter intuitive.

13. Skullcandy Sesh Evo True Wireless Earbuds

6mm drivers, microphone, IP55, 24 hours battery, USB type-C

Build Aspect

Skullcandy Sesh Evo are a pair of True Wireless Earphones. The overall looks are generic like any other TWS earphones. The overall comfort levels are good and these seem sturdy. The plastics could have been a bit better but nonetheless both the case and buds feel sturdy and well built. The battery backup is good and on par with some of the more expensive options at a solid combined capacity of 24 hours. Available in 5 different colors.

Performance Aspect

The sonic signature of these earphones is a bit warm and laid back. For instance the treble is a bit dull, not bad, just a bit warm. While on the other hand the bass is strong, punchy and has decent depth to it. Similarly Mid-range and vocals stand out with excellent presentation. Together with fabulous noise isolation these make for a perfect commuters earphones. Consequently there is no leakage of sound outside too. Perhaps these are a pair of Bluetooth earphones that you should buy if you commute via public transport and love listening to loud music.

PROS

Sturdy build.
Plenty of bass.
Excellent noise isolation.
Good dynamics.

CONS

Laid back sound in turn means treble is a bit lacking.
Bass can sound boomy to some.

14. OnePlus Buds Wireless Bluetooth Earphones

13.4mm drivers, microphone, IPX4, 30 hours battery, USB type-C

Build Aspect

OnePlus Buds Truly Wireless Earphones Compact buds are well built earphones. The case and buds are made of plastic mostly which feels solid and sturdy. However they don’t feel premium by any means. Overall comfort levels are decent and satisfactory. Moreover IPX4 would prevent them from sweat, making them a good workout companion. Combined playtime of 30 hours means that the battery capacity is really good. Available in grey, white and a Nord Blue color.

Performance Aspect

OnePlus has let us a bit down with the overall sound performance of these buds. To start with the sound is on the brighter side. Additionally the bass has a shallow sound profile and lacks decent thump and punch. Although the mid range is decent and vocals and instruments sound good the miserable lows make them an average sounding pair of earphones. Similarly the microphone is also lacking and call quality suffers as a result of that. The overall features and sound profile make the OnePlus Buds a viable contender and subsequently one of the best wireless earphones under ₹ 5000 in India.

PROS

Decent mid range.
IPX5 certification.
Solid, sturdy build.
Excellent battery life.

CONS

Lacking bass and exaggerated highs.
No ANC.
Sub par microphone quality.

15. Mi True Wireless Earphones 2

14.2mm drivers, microphone, 14 hours battery, USB type-C

Build Aspect

Mi True Wireless Earphones2 are Apple Airpods doppelgänger. The overall design language is pretty similar so to say. While the build quality and construction is premium and tasteful the fitting without silicone tips causes some issues. For example, there is no noise isolation, subsequently noise leakage is at the higher side. Sadly there is no IP rating on these earphones. Besides the battery is just average with a rating of 14 hours of usage. They are sold in just the white color.

Performance Aspect

The overall performance of Mi earphones is decent at best. While the bass is lacking and gets a bit muddy the treble is a tad bit too forward. However the mid range is excellent and the vocals and instruments really shine through. Environment noise cancellation helps improve the call quality and hence calls were satisfactory. In conclusion this pair of Bluetooth enabled wireless earphones are good for some purposes but then not for some.

PROS

Premium and durable build quality.
Comfortable to wear.
Environment noise cancellation.
Excellent mid range.

CONS

Slight distortion at loud volumes.
Bass is not up to the mark.
Noise isolation is literally absent.

16. JBL C105TWS True Wireless Earphones

5.8mm drivers, microphone, 17 hours battery

Build Aspect

JBL C105TWS Bluetooth earphones are a budget offering. The product has an average build quality and feel. The overall looks are simple and minimalist. However they look very sturdy and rugged. Thankfully the comfort levels are good and decent in-ear grips make them wearable during workouts or jog. Sporting a mediocre 17 hour battery life these earphones are available in two mono color choices, black and white.

Performance Aspect

It is physics that larger driver can displace more air and in turn produce low frequencies with lesser distortions. JBLs tuning and the overall capability of the drivers mean that these have a somewhat hollow bottom end, it is smooth but lacks depth and punch. However mid range and treble carry the genetics of JBLs sound signature leaving little to complain. There is no active noise cancellation although noise isolation seemed to be good. In brief JBL C105TWS wireless earphones are a budget offering with rugged looks and functional average sound quality.

PROS

Good sturdy build.
Ergonomic design maintains a tight fit.
Competitive price.
Decent mids and highs.

CONS

No ingress protection (IP).
Lacking bass.

17. Philips UpBeat SHB2505BK True Wireless Earphones

6mm drivers, microphone, 12 hours battery

Build Aspect

Philips UpBeat SHB2505BK are just another pair of wireless earphones in this ever increasing choice of Wireless Earphones. Build wise they are made out of plastic and feel reasonably well built and constructed. However the addition of an ear fin makes comfort levels good and gives them a snug in-ear fit. Battery life is ordinary at 12 hours and not 20 hours which some sites and promotional media mention. Besides these don’t not have any sort of ingress protection. Available in black color only.

Performance Aspect

This pair of earphones have 6mm drivers which are on the smaller side, so producing decent bass is an uphill task. As a result bass is superficial, but thankfully very smooth. Likewise mid-range and treble are good though ever so slightly pronounced. Overall dynamics lacked a bit laid back and that takes away from the experience. Additionally the microphone quality is not up to the mark. To cut long story short, Philips wireless earphones surely do not have best of tech under the hood but they are more or less a neutral sounding pair, which says a lot in itself. As a result these can be called decent if not the best pair of wireless earphones under ₹ 5000 in India

PROS

Excellent and sturdy fitting.
Decent noise isolation.
Smooth sound signature.

CONS

Bass is shallow.
Dynamics are lacking.
