Build Aspect

Blaupunkt SBA01 soundbar is a well equipped and reasonably priced audio product. It is equipped with a total of 4 drivers of which 2 are dedicated to bass and LFE duty, they fire downwards. The soundbar is ruggedly built with a simple sleek look. However when wall mount the bottom feet, anti skid-pads stick out like a sore thumb and look ugly, they are quite tall because of the bottom firing drivers. Like almost all other soundbars, this one is also made out of plastic with a metal front grill. However the bottom drivers are unprotected and susceptible to damage. All in all its a well built soundbar with competent build quality.

Performance Aspect

Since this soundbar employs 2 dedicated drivers for bass duty, it is one of the best soundbars in this price range if you want to avoid the dedicated sub-woofer. Let me elaborate, this soundbar has ample bass which thanks to the side firing port extends the bass more than what you would expect from 3 inch drivers. Similarly the mid-range is transparent and invokes a very impressive ambience which catapults you into the audio-drama! Over and above that the highs are lush and brilliant, however things get congested if the volume is pushed too much, it is disappointing. It has comprehensive list of connectivity options to boot. All things said and done this soundbar will definitely pass the muster and therefore is a recommended soundbar under 5000 rupees in India.
