Build Aspect
Blaupunkt SBW04 soundbar is a decent setup consisting of 2 x 2.25 inch drivers in the soundbar and a large 8 inch driver in the subwoofer. The soundbar is slim and has got the simple and clean looks which are a trait of Blaupunkt systems. Since the driver in the subwoofer is side firing it has a narrow, tall and deep profile which helps fit it into corners and tight spaces. Understandably the soundbar unit is made of dense plastic with a metal grill, it is light in weight. Whereas the subwoofer unit feels quite robust and is made of MDF. In totality the entire setup feels well built and well worth the money spent.
Performance Aspect
The audio of this soundbar has a trademark Blaupunkt sound to it. To elaborate, the sound is sparkly, dynamic and packs a lot pf punch. The vocals are loud and clear and so are the instruments such as piano, flute etc. Similarly the highs are powerful, a bit too much at times if I may add. Subsequently during loud and intense passages the audio can get congested and lose it fidelity, we wished the soundbar had 4 drivers instead of 2. The bass is powerful and deep, it is the best part of this system, as it hold its own till loduest volumes and performs better than expected. All in all, it would be wise to say that this is a decent soundbar if not the best under ₹ 10000 in India.
