Build Aspect

SBW07 is a budget soundbar plus subwoofer setup from the house of Blaupunkt. The soundbar has a slim and sleek design, it houses just the 2 drivers. It is relatively light in weight yet it feels quite premium. On the other hand subwoofer has a 6.5″ driver with a slim profile and one forward firing port. The subwoofer is made of MDF with a rugged feel and a gloss plastic port giving it a good two tone finish. The soundbar unit itself houses all the input and output connections including the powered subwoofer output. That is subwoofer unit is passive and does not need a connection to mains.

Performance Aspect

This product does not pack a lot of drivers or for that matter even the size of subwoofer drives is not exciting. The audio from soundbar is decent, its very dynamic albeit a shrill at times. Treble is sharp, revealing and as a result a little too bright at times. The 2 front facing drivers try to create a good sound field but are limited in output. As a result distortion creeps in and so does compression. Having said that if the room size is not too big the soundbar should be adequately energize the room. A 6.5 inch driver is what it is, it produces a good bit of oomph factor with bang bang and boom! But it is unable to measure true depths of bass. Thankfully input options are present in full attendance and connectivity wont be an issue with this setup. All things considered its not a bad setup, however it has some limitations with regard to dynamics, treble quality and bass.
