Build Aspect
Blue is the color for cool, Blue Star is the name for something cool. Yes 5W18GBTI is a 1.5 Ton Inverter Compressor Window AC from Blue Star, the cooling corporation. From the word go the AC feels good quality all around. Be it the simplistic fascia, the front control panel or the internals such as inverter tech. compressor, copper coils. Moreover this notion is further given a respectful boost by the 55 kilo net weight. Last but not the least the remote is a premium unit with a back light and large buttons which require minimum muscle memory use.
Performance Aspect
What good is a product if it only is well built and is subpar in performance? Apparently not too good. However to much our relief that’s not the case with this 1.5 Ton window AC. It is a very promising AC with adequate cooling capacity and performance. Although it does not boast of insanely high BTU capability, the 17700 odd are quite respectful and workable for an AC like this. Likewise the fan has a capacity of 440 CFM which again borders on adequacy and should not be a cause of concern. “How good is it if everything is just adequate?” you ask. “Answer is in the money” I reply, or more appropriately in the monthly bills. For the uninitiated the AC has a 5 star rating with a fabulous 3.57 ISEER rating which is a very good rating for a window AC. So to wind it all up and to conclude that this AC is a good 1.5 Ton Window AC unit would not be wrong and would be befitting an AC its caliber.
