Build Aspect
FC312YLU is a 1 Ton Fixed Speed (non-inverter) Split Air Conditioner from Blue Star. Akin to this generation of Blue Star split ACs this unit has well laid out design. The more or less edgy design is flanked on one side by two strips of chrome, gives it a distinct and gorgeous appeal. Add to it a hidden display and the looks are simple, clean and yet very much premium. Moreover the finish is gloss and overall build quality is very good. This 1 ton ACs uses copper for all its tubing purposes. Another positive in the bag is the fact that the ODU is a heavy unit.
Performance Aspect
This is a 1 ton AC with 3 star energy efficiency rating. The AC performs decently in a small sized room. The cooling capacity is nothing mind boggling as it sits at just 11300 BTU per hour. We are far from impressed. This is a budget AC and the fan motor also resonates that very much. It is capable of just 318 CFM of air at its max. While the WFA512 listed here has 365 CFM. Expecting 4 way swing from this would be like expecting snowfall in Delhi now! There is a silver lining though, that lining is the noise levels. This AC is very unobtrusive to put it mildly. Now that we have a first hand account of everything about this AC it would be rather appropriate to term this as a simple and budget 1 Ton AC.
