Build Aspect
IA312YNU is a 1 Ton 3 star rated inverter split Air Conditioner from the YNU series of Blue Star. The overall looks of the setup is quite boxy. Moreover the depth is more and consequently this AC protrudes quite a lot from the wall. It is not really something that would blend well. However the styling is good and if not for the bulk it would be quite the AC. On the other hand the plastics used are of good quality. The units especially the indoor one feels very well built and robust. It also has blue fins which prevent corrosion of the copper tubing. Taking matters outside we find that while the ODU feels a lot more sturdier than the EBTU series there is some still scope of improvement, especially in build wise. While the ODU will be out of sight mostly it shows the attention to details and competence if the construction is flawless.
Performance Aspect
This is a new breed of 3 star AC from Blue Star. There are changes in its cooling capacity, ISEER as well as fan speed. First of all the cooling capacity is now a very impressive and strong 13693 BTUs. Its ISEER is 3.85 and consequently it is a very efficient 3 star AC. Interestingly its fan speed tops out at 368 CFM which is higher than 338 CFM of the EBTU series. Nonetheless its 4 way auto swing not only is a boon for lazy bums but it also ensures even distribution of air. Apparently it is a very well built AC mostly and given its price point it can be easily said to be one of the best 1 Ton Split Ac in India.
