Build Aspect

Blue Star is an Indian AC manufacturer which makes some of the best products in this field. The IC318EBTU is another such AC with Inverter Technology compressor and 3 star energy efficiency rating. The indoor unit has a timeless design with clean lines. Moreover the use of a hidden display accentuates the neatness of design and its niche factor. The remote control is a handy unit and makes operating the AC a ‘breeze’. The outdoor unit is well constructed as well and should easily protect the compressor and coils from foreign elements and damage.

Performance Aspect

The Blue Star AC has a BTU/hr rating of 16548 which is a bit less than the expected 18000 from a 1.5 Ton AC, therefore AC performs well in small, small-mid sized rooms only. However apart from low BTU the CFM (indoor unit) is also quite low at just 369 even at highest speed, as a result the air flow is slow and in longer rooms the AC will lack in effectiveness. Moreover the AC is relatively noisy at 50db at the  highest fan setting, not too noticeable but there are more silent ACs out there. In conclusion it is a decent AC, but make no mistake there are better ACs available in similar prices.
