Build Aspect

Boat audio products like the Soundbars from the Aavante series are serious performers and offer high value for money spent. Lets explore the Aavante Aaupera Soundbar and see if its any good too. The soundbar itself is made from plastic with a metal grill and is equipped with 4 x 2.25″ drivers that perform the mid-range and treble duty. It looks eerily similar to the Aavante 2050. On the other hand the wireless subwoofer is equipped with a rather decent 6.5″ driver, while being finished in a dual tone scheme. Basically it has the same signature design of Boat. Furthermore overall build is satisfactory and while the soundbar is made from plastic the subwoofer is made from MDF. Lastly the subwoofer module is side firing with a rear bass reflex port to extend and increase the LFE output. The input options are plenty with even Alexa supported, however microphones are on the soundbar unit and not on remote.

Performance Aspect

Prepare to be flabbergasted, the sonics of this soundbar are impressive and exciting. It builds upon the already successful formula of Aavante Bar 2050 and improves upon it. For example the bass is strong and has adequate depth, the 6.5 incher is really up for the task. Similarly the mids and highs are very cohesive and sparkly adding a sense of clarity to the tracks. Do note that the instrument separation as well imaging is impressive. One issue is that the bass can sound bloated at times, especially when pushed hard. Alexa works as intended mostly. Having said that we wish that the microphone was built in to remote rather than the soundbar. Be that as it may it is truly amazing and a fine sounding soundbar under 10000 rupees in India.
