Build Aspect
Godrej products are budget focused and usually skimp of feature set to achieve said price point. However in the case of GSC 18 SGN 3 CWQR 1.5 Ton Split AC Godrej decided to do the forbidden! That is they plonked a alloy (aluminum) condenser coil in this unit, this alone makes us wary of this AC. Having said that the construction otherwise is fairly heavy and the unit is well built. Furthermore the subtle contours and the simplistic design give it an elegant look.
Performance Aspect
The performance of this “Alloy condenser” AC is good. It has a fixed speed compressor and does a respectable job of cooling the room. In some more good news the blower is a strong one, it has a adequately strong draft as a result of 565 CFM that it pushes out. Unfortunately it has only 2 way auto swing and lacks a PM filter too. While these aspects are not a deal breaker the absence of copper condenser is definitely one, and therefore we strongly advise against buying this 1.5 ton split AC.
