Build Aspect
HE400i is an affordable headphone offering from audiophile brand Hifiman. First thing that strikes upfront is their rich and premium looks. Additionally the general build quality is impressive thanks to generous use of materials like suede cloth and leather. Finally comfort levels are magnificent as a consequence of plush padding and ergonomics. The build quality is average and is not expected at this price point. The impedance of these headphones is 35 ohms.
Performance Aspect
Hifiman HE400i uses a 60mm magnetic planar drivers in each of the cups that lends it an distinct and rich sound signature. As a consequence of that the bass is somewhat shallow in the lower regions, making certain genres like EDM sound pathetic, however mid bass and upper bass are well pronounced and have fast transients with decent force. Furthermore mid-range is superlative as it is transparent and dynamic. To top it off treble will impress everyone with its uncanny output , excellent extension and resolution.
