Build Aspect

The RAW312HEDO is a 1 ton 3 star window AC offering from Hitachi, it belongs to the Kaze Plus series of window air conditioners. This AC is not the like the usual premium looking Hitachi we are used to, its boring and monotonous to look at. However the construction is solid and this window AC packs decent heft, basically it exudes durability.

Performance Aspect

Hitachi Air conditioners are quite up the ladder in performance aspect. Having said that this particular AC is just mediocre. In pure numbers it has a 11260 BTUs under the hood. This points to a mediocre compressor which is not strong in cooling. Similarly the fan blower is weaker than the 5 star model and pushes just 300 CFM air at the max. While this is not a deal breaker, it certainly takes a bit long to temperature control the room. This AC has lackluster performance, however throw the price into the mix and it starts to look an attractive window AC and therefore is recommended as a value for money proposition for anyone looking to buy a 1 ton window AC on a budget.
