Build Aspect

IFB is an Indian manufacturer of some of the best and most competitive appliances like Air conditioners and Washing machines. The Elena SX 6510 6.5 KG Front Load washing machine is another such product. Right of the bat, the overall construction and build seems from the very top drawer. For the uninitiated it would seem like a product from an overseas brand, IFB really has upped the ante. The plastics and metals are beautifully crafted and panel gaps are minimal and the body flex very limited. Correspondingly the drum is made of stainless steel. It is an all analogue system with a digital timer display. We prefer the digital control panel with a single rotary knob found in most other washing machines though. Moving on the porthole has a reassuring thud to it when closing.

Performance Aspect

This machine is a adequately powered with a top spin speed of 1000 RPM. Do note that motor is not inverter motor, however the washing machine is still 5 star rated in energy efficiency. The control scheme is easy and has a modest 15 different wash modes, which are adequate for almost all households. Additionally a dedicated spin speed control lets you manages the spin speed and in turn noise and vibration levels too. In more good news the washing machine has an inbuilt heater, it is apt for the job as it heats the water to give the clothes a delicate, yet thorough wash as selected. However the vibrations at top spin speed are not to are liking, this machine rocks a lot. Although noise of the motor is not high. All in all its a fabulous front load washing machine especially for the price at which it is offered.
