Build Aspect

JBL audio products are one of the best and present great value for money spent. Lets get to the meat of JBL Cinema SB 231 soundbar. The soundbar it self is made from plastic and is equipped with 2 2″ drivers that perform the mid-range and treble duty, while the bigger unit called the sub-woofer performs the bass duty and is equipped with a 4″ driver. The overall construction and build is good and while the soundbar is made from plastic the subwoofer is made from MDF. Soundbar has the capability to be wall mounted and consequently is relatively light weight. A nifty remote control powered by a button cell is provided, it gets the job done!

Performance Aspect

The audio quality of the soundbar is very good and crisp. It really enhances the TV viewing pleasure many folds as a result of that. The bass is strong and adds lots of thump and provides decent rumble to action movies and music. Similarly the mids and treble are well focused and provide good dynamics and volume capabilities. However the bass gets a bit muddy at loud volumes. Be that as it may it is still one of the finest and best sounding soundbars under 10000 rupees in India.
