Build Aspect

JBL Tune 230NC are a pair of earphones with Noise Cancellation capability. They feature a light weight build which is easy and comfortable on the ears, even if the stick out a little bit. However the plastics used are well simply put “not the best in business”. Furthermore the hinge on the case leaves a lot to be desired. Having said that the matte type finish on earbuds and the case look neat always, unlike glossy finishes. The battery life is an abundantly long 10 hours for the earbuds with the case capable of charging them 3 times over. It is impressive!

Performance Aspect

Equipped with 6mm drivers these earphones have superb audio output. The bass on the earbuds is fantastic, not only does it have a deep and pronounced effect, it is boosted in the entire bass band, which gives the sound fantastic depth. Additionally the mid range is very balanced and clear. It is very musical indeed. Last but certainly not the least, the highs. While the treble response and output is on the warmer side, that is a bit laid back. Nonetheless it is these traits that make the audio sound smooth yet quite detailed. About the ANC, its sub-par and does not work like the magical ones of some of the more expensive earbuds. Similarly the call quality is strictly average, it would be fine in quiet and indoor environments but poor in slightly noisy ambience. In a nutshell this pair of earphones are fantastic to listen to and are highly recommended, unless you are very particular about high performance ANC.
