Build Aspect

JW-Q18WUXA1 is a retro look style 1.5 Ton window AC just like its elder sibling JW-Q18WUZA with an inverter compressor. Thankfully the AC looks just like its elder sibling which is mostly good as it manages to stand out all the while looking classy. Moreover the build quality of the AC is very good and so is its durability. For example the copper (only on inside) is protected with “Ocean Black Protection”. However keep in mind that intake grill is located at the bottom of AC unit, so if this AC is installed near floor level it will tend to suck in dust and get clogged more quickly. This AC is a less deep and less in height than the 5 star model with Wi Fi. Also although the AC looks good from many angles it has a bump in middle which looks weird.

Performance Aspect

The cooling of this window AC is unimpressive 16037 BTU only. And unlike the elder sibling the AC lacks a powerful blower and is equipped with comparatively lethargic 318 CFM capable blower only. In more bad news it has an average 3 star rated efficiency. Unforgivable is the worst omission, which is no motor equipped swing at all! In conclusion this AC is an average one only and lacks the cooling capacity and also basic features.
