Build Aspect
PW-Q18WUXA is an old-fashioned yet stylish 1.5 Ton window AC with an inverter compressor from LG. In a simple yet significant move the AC looks drastically different and manages to stand out all the while looking classy. Furthermore the build quality of the AC is very good and hence the AC should be very durable. For instance the copper tubes (only on inside) is protected with “Ocean Black Protection”. Alas that intake grill is located at the bottom of AC unit, so if this AC is installed near floor level it will tend to suck in debris, clogging the filters quickly. On the contrary if it is installed too high then its air will take considerable length before reaching bed level. Moreover while the AC manages to look good from many angles it has a bumped up stomach which is prominent and somewhat ugly when looked from sides.
Performance Aspect
The cooling of this window AC is a rather uninspiring 16037 BTU only. And unlike the elder sibling JW-Q18WUZA the AC lacks a competitive fan motor and is equipped with a “snail paced” 318 CFM capable blower only. It has a very good ISEER of 3.26 which gives it a respectable 4 star energy efficiency rating. Unfortunately there is no motor equipped swing at all, what a bummer! In conclusion this 1.5 ton Window AC is an average one only and lacks the cooling capacity and also some basic features.

This ac is surely one from another league. Using for many months, zero complaints. So ordered a second one for other room.
