Build Aspect
The RS-Q19YNZE is the successor to the hugely successful and fantastic 1.5 Ton PS-Q19YNZE 5 star Inverter AC from LG. The Air Conditioner is identical in form and factor just like the previous gen, which is a very good thing. For the uninitiated it is well built and has striking yet sleek looks. Likewise while the ODU has the same dimensions and looks as the previous gen, however it has gained a couple of kilos. This tells us that the internals have changed, and for most part the compressor is a different one, probably a beefier one that has resulted in this weight gain. It is marketed with the same Dual Inverter moniker though.
Performance Aspect
We expect the best from LG but it would seem that max cooling has taken a hit, it has come down to 18425 BTU from a whopping 19790 BTUs. This is because LG has now changed to a different compressor which maxes out a bit lower. The net result is basically that in HC setting or Viraat setting as LG says this AC is now more or less working like the 100% setting mode of the previous generation. (There is no limit to HC mode unlike before when it reverted to lower output after 90 minutes). Subsequently the AC is a little slow in cooling when it is put through the paces, in comparison. But once the temperature is brought down the new compressor shows it is really good with superb efficiency and energy usage. Thankfully the blower speed remains the same with a max of 653 CFM. The biggest impact of new compressor is on energy utilization and saving. This AC now has a 5.20 ISEER which reflects on how efficient this AC is. Furthermore the noise levels are quite low at just 31db at lowest fan speed and the AC cannot be heard with its silent operation. All in all this is a really good AC from LG and is especially a must buy if you need a silent and efficient Air conditioner.
Do note this AC is absolutely identical to RS-Q19PNZE / RS-Q19ANZE / RS-Q19CNZE / RS-Q19BNZE units of LG.
