Build Aspect
The Midea SANTIS PRO CLS 1.5 Ton is a non-inverter compressor AC. The overall looks and build seems satisfactory and mostly on par with other AC brands in the industry. The indoor unit is a simple unit, nothing flashy or catchy , just simple. On the other hand the outdoor unit is a sturdy, hefty build with weight at a solid 36.5 kgs. The indoor unit has a hidden LCD display to show the temp. which can be turned off too. Similarly the remote control is a small and elegant unit with a back light for ease of operation.
Performance Aspect
The rated BTU of this AC is 18002 which is right up there for a 1.5 Ton AC and hence the effective cooling that this unit is able to provide. The AC is able to churn out plenty of cool air and throw it with a modest max fan speed of 550 CFM which is able to cover a medium sized room easily. Granted there are some ACs which have a even better cooling capacity BTU and stronger fan speeds in excess of 600 CFM but they get expensive too. Not to forget that this AC has a pretty decent ISEER rating of 3.62 too which makes it decently efficient too. In more good news the AC has extremely low levels of noise of just 42 dB even at max speed how ever it produces 36 dB of noise even at its lowest speed which is somewhat high. Finally unlike many other budget (and expensive) ACs this has 4 way auto swing. To round it off it would be rather appropriate to say that this a well performing AC (non-inverter) and has many things going for it than against.
