Build Aspect

The NU18WKYW is a WiFi enabled smart inverter AC from Panasonic. The IDU has a contemporary look and seems particularly high-end. Moreover the ODU unit is very sturdy although admittedly a bit light weight at just 27 kilos. Featuring Wi Fi and connectivity with personal assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant this AC is a must have for tech-savvy who like to integrate everything in smart home environment for ease of usage. Although remote has a cool blue back light the buttons are somewhat too slim, makes it less intuitive.

Performance Aspect

The compressor is an inverter capable unit and therefore very effective and efficient, it helps this AC achieve a very respectable ISEER of 4.7 with a decent 18750 BTU / h. Moreover the fan has a fast speed of upto 630 CFM which helps throw strong blobs of cool air, the draft of which go very far. Additionally the PM 2.5 filter captures pollutants to give a healthy and cool environment. However the AC is a somewhat noisy at 43 dB at low fan speeds, on the flip side it keeps noise levels in check at max fan speed. In short given its excellent feature set, 4 way auto swing capability, impressive cooling it would be wise to term this an excellent smart 1.5 Ton split AC in India.
