Build Aspect

The RB-M700B are a pair of wireless headphones with some nifty feature set from Panasonic. Lets start with the basics, the build. While the overall build is made from plastic with metal internals, it generally feels quiet durable and sturdy. Moreover the finish is smooth with a minimal yet elegant design. Drawing a parallel to the build the comfort levels are good, which is a direct result of the thick cushioned ear-pads. Sadly there is a fly in the ointment, the buttons are flimsy and counter intuitive to use, hampering the overall use significantly. Additionally the battery has 20 hour rated runtime only, which is on the lower side.

Performance Aspect

These headphones come with huge 40mm drivers and a bass control button to increase or decrease the bass. Therefore your guess is right, they have powerful bass which sounds good. However on occasion excessive bass results in auditory masking of mids and highs. The midrange is somewhat hollow and takes a back seat in the sound stage, which suits the bass oriented approach of the headphones but on the flip-side makes the audio unbalanced. Shifting focus on the treble we find that the highs are sparkly and pack a lot of energy. A bit too much at times, which again is a good if sculpted sound is your thing. But if not then the exaggerated highs will be annoying. Last but not the least, the ANC. While the noise cancellation is apposite on its own it can not be compared to titans of the industry such as Bose. Meanwhile the microphone also is satisfactory and call quality is passable. Taking all of above into account it is safe to assume that these wireless headphones are a good buy under 10000 rupees in India.
