Build Aspect
The CS/CU-SU18YKYWT is a WiFi enabled and smart 1.5 Ton Inverter AC with 3 star BEE rating from Panasonic. The facade of IDU is stylish and features a striking design. Apparently the quality of plastics is still a disappointment and the AC feels a budget proposition in the way it feels. By the same token the ODU is light in weight which is not very reassuring from durability point of view. However it has Wi Fi connectivity and is ideal if integration with personal assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant this AC is needed. Another aspect left unchanged is the poorly designed remote control unit, its small alright but the buttons are too slim and this makes the whole operation counter intuitive.
Performance Aspect
The compressor of this 1.5 Ton split is an inverter capable unit and therefore very effective and efficient, it helps this AC achieve a very respectable max performance of 18950 BTUs. The fan speed is a big limiting factor in the overall performance of this AC. At its max speed the rated air flow is 501 CFM which is very underwhelming to say the least. Surprisingly the AC is noisy too despite less than strong fan speed which is kind of a bummer. Don’t worry not all is gloomy as the AC can capture harmful pollutants with the included PM 0.1 filter. And ofcourse it packs 4 way auto swing to focus and give direction to the drafts of air as desired. Therefore considering its decent cooling, average air flow volume, strong feature set i would say that this is a good buy for anyone who want a feature loaded 1.5 ton split AC in budget price.
