Samsung is a very popular name in home appliances such as ACs because of fantastic value for money products which not only are fine performers but also are backed by a wide service network. The 1.5 Ton 5 star Inverter AC from Samsung is another such appliance. The outdoor has a metal body and is well built and has lots of heft to it at 37 kgs. On the other hand the indoor unit is made from plastic with a premium looking decorative floral design on it. The compressor uses inverter technology and is very efficient (ISEER 5.20) and high performance, additionally it comes with a really long 10 years of warranty too. The remote has a big display with lots of buttons which helps adjust the airflow, direction and temperature to suit your needs. Note: The AC seems identical to AR18AY5YATA apart from the design on the indoor unit.

Performance Aspect

Needless to say the AC is very effective and ideally suited for mid-large sized rooms. Its strong fan blower is rated at 681 CFM which is very powerful and therefore brings ambient temperatures in check rather effortlessly. Moreover it has a class leading maximum cooling capacity of 22,179 Btu/hr. The noise levels of this AC are very less too at 45 db at max fan speed and just a minuscule 24 db at lowest. On the downside the auto swing works 2 way only, left right louvers have to set manually.
