Build Aspect

Sanyo is a name that has brought on many ripples in the lake of electronics every now and then. In its latest stint Sanyo has rather brought some huge waves thanks to very affordable, high performance and durable products. The SI/SO-10T5SDIA is another such product. While the IDU is well made, sturdy and looks sleek with its hidden display, the ODU is a little light on weight and feels a bit skinny at just 20 Kgs (cost of affordability?). On the bright side the fit and finish is perfect and even the remote is backlit enabled for ease of use.

Performance Aspect

The cooling performance of this AC is top-class, it has a fantastic class leading cooling capacity of almost 14000 BTU/hr, putting all other 1 ton ACs to shame, quite literally. It not only boasts of fantastic BTU but does that with a supremely good ISEER of 4.60. Additionally the high fan speed of 470 CFM is powerful enough to surpass even some 1.5 Ton ACs. Its all jolly good, as the PM 2.5 filter cleans out harmful pollutants from air. Well you may think that it is a paid review…. I assure you it is not… “Prove it” you ask… “They ain’t got the best service network” I say. So in grand scheme of things this 1 Ton Inverter Split AC is phenomenal and one of best in India with one caveat, tricky after sales and service.
