Build Aspect
The SI/SO-15T3SCIC is a superb value for money 1.5 Ton AC from Sanyo. The AC is a well built unit and has an okayish look so to speak. The plastics used are are not the best in business, albeit a gander at the AC wasn’t enough to reach this conclusion. The weight of ODU is approx 27.5 Kgs which is rather low for a 1.5 ton inverter AC. Moreover the remote is a small unit with slim buttons which are counter intuitive. On the bright side the AC is a budget friendly option and is perhaps one of the cheapest 1.5 ton 3 star inverter AC currently available.
Performance Aspect
The performance is the area where this AC shines. It has got a very good 18750 BTU per hour cooling capacity which in conjunction with strong air blower capable of 650 CFM drops the temperature of room in no time. Add to that the fact it has a decent ISEER rating of 3.80 and you have a winner on your hands. Alas it has got only 2 way auto swing which we really can’t say we didn’t see coming given its price point. On the upside however the much needed PM 2.5 filter is provided which is especially useful if you live in a place with high PM levels. Do note that this AC is no more noisier than others maxing out its indoor noise at 46 dBs. To wind up it is understood that this a true value for money AC with inverter technology in India, even if it is not the best.
