Build Aspect

Voltas by Tata is an Indian manufacturer of refrigeration products. 183 EZA is a 1.5 Ton split from a vast collection of split ACs that they offer. It features a very usable display at top-right corner, a much needed break from the subtle, near absent displays on most other air conditioners. By the same token its got a good two tone finish and combined with a swooping belly it looks elegant and smaller than it really is. Its definitely one of the better looking Voltas AC. We are equally impressed by the build quality which is tough and beefy. This AC is a winner in the making.

Performance Aspect

With such a high quality and strong build a strong performance was anticipated. This split AC does not have a inverter compressor but that should not mean it lacks in performance. Although it does, since it is a mediocre machine only. A 17470 BTU/hour cooling is not poor by any standards but it just only gets the job done. While the blower is adequate for medium sized rooms, it lacks the flamboyance of powerful motors. Like most ACs in budget price range it is quipped with 2 way auto swing only. All said and done its a good AC for all intents and purposes and hence can be termed as one of the best 1.5 ton split AC in India.
