Build Aspect

The 183 VCZS is a 1.5 Ton Inverter AC offering from Voltas. The indoor unit looks typically Voltas with a boxy design language that feels a bit large. However the hidden temp. display is a welcome feature and adds a bit of flair to the looks. Similarly the ODU is a run of the mill affair (as should be) and seems well built and sturdy despite it being just 27ish kilos. Furthermore the remote control is a well designed one, with controls and buttons placed ergonomically.

Performance Aspect

Right of the bat the AC impresses with its chilled air which is very well focused. The AC has a modest fan speed of 559 CFM which should cover the length of a medium sized room with ease. Similarly the BTU of 17572 makes sure that the AC cools the room down quickly, however it can struggle during high outdoor temperatures. Add to that the fact that AC makes as much sound at 559 CFM as other AC which have stronger air flows in excess of 600 CFM. In more bad news the AC is only equipped with 2 way Auto swing and even lacks a PM 2.5 filter. Be that as it may it is a well built AC and rather efficient and best suited for those looking to buy a good inverter AC on a budget.
