Build Aspect

Need an Air Conditioner for a small room and are you on a tight budget? Well if yes then this AC is perfect for you. The 102 EZQ is a 0.75 Ton Window AC from Voltas. Moreover AC it self is simple, classy and looks like the younger sibling of the bigger (and powerful) 1.4, 1.5 Ton ACs from them (the Russian doll effect?). Similarly the AC unit is well put together and although doesn’t particularly feel premium, surely is far from being shabby. However it feels a bit too lean, and is quite light weight.

Performance Aspect

This is a 0.75 Ton AC and expecting it to be sufficient for a medium sized room would be a gross underestimation. However plonk it in a small room (which befits its application) and the 8700 BTU cooling capacity starts to work wonders. The airflow capacity at max fan speed is just a shy short of 200 CFM which should be just adequate for a small room “emphasis on small”. Be advised airflow is one of the reasons the AC would not be a good choice for a slightly bigger small room (oxymoron!). The AC has a digital segment display in front with a few necessary buttons should you choose to operate it directly without the supplied remote. Unfortunately the AC is inefficient and scores just 2 star in its energy efficient rating. When comparing with a 1 ton AC with a 5 star rating the saving in electricity would be around 10% only, while being nearly 30% less in cooling capacity. That being said the 102 EZQ  brings comfort of AC to many more households and is a definitely a good buy given its entry level price.
