FTL28TV is a 0.8 split Ton AC unit from Daikin. The AC reeks quality inside out. The IDU is made of good quality plastic and has a good gloss finish to it. Surprisingly the ODU is a robust unit and is really well built and hefty for a 0.8 Ton Split AC. Similarly the AC remote is trickled down from the larger variants and has a perfect ergonomic layout, which is easy to use in dark even in the absence of backlit display/keys. The design of the indoor unit it self is curvy and the small IDU looks even more unobtrusive.

Performance Aspect

This 0.8 Ton AC comes with a rotary compressor and utilizes R32 as its refrigerant. The cooling capacity is rated at 9555 BTU / hr which should be good for small sized rooms. The airflow is good and the AC rather silently (max IDU noise is just 39 db) pushes 343 CFM of air to do the needful. Naturally the AC is more easy on utility/electricity bills owing to a smaller compressor and a good ISEER of 3.65 helps matter even more. Equipped with a PM 2.5 filter this AC also cleans the air of harmful pollutants upto 2.5 microns in size.
