Build Aspect
Whirlpool Air Conditioners offer superb performance and great value for money, this has been true for most of their past models. Lets find out if the Flexicool 15T 5S INV CNV S3I3AD0 also has the same virtue. Right of the bat the air conditioner feels quite slim and well made. While it is not the slimmest AC the overhang is mostly nothing to be worried about. Apart from that the design is a mixture of curves, straight lines and sharp edges. But somehow all these come together rather magically to give a very appealing and mature look. The build quality of the indoor is fantastic too, good quality plastic together with copper tubing makes sure that the indoor unit is durable and long lasting. On the flip-side the outdoor unit, while well made lacks the heft and solidity that is to be found in the IDU. The weight is quite revealing in that aspect.
Performance Aspect
Do not judge a book by its cover and in this instance do not make assumptions about cooling from the weight of the outdoor. While the ODU is the lightest (almost) in the 1.5 ton category the performance knows no bounds. It is 20063 BTUs and this sure enough is one strong performer. This cooling prowess is reflected when the temperature is soaring and the room needs to be made comfortable quickly. Of course high BTUs means high fan blower speed too and this Air conditioner has a blower fan which is rated at around 600 CFM. The biggest drawback is the 2 way swing only. Having said that if you can make do without 4 way swing this AC seems to be a very good one, considering its performance and price.
