Build Aspect

Unlike the HDEA series the HEDO series is a bit inferior as it comes with a fixed speed compressor, and therefore skimps on a bit on aesthetics too. For instance the gold strip on former is plain white on the RAW518HEDO 1.5 Ton window AC. Despite that the AC manages to look much better than many generic looking window ACs. The build quality is decent too and as far as durability goes it should be at par with other market leaders. A LCD remote with backlight is provided which makes using and changing the setting of the AC in the dark easy.

Performance Aspect

The cooling performance of this AC is a remarkable 18000 BTU, which when put through its paces really shine. Thankfully Hitachi doesn’t undercut on the fan speed in this variant and equips it with the 450 CFM motor. In collaboration with the compressor this fan churns out all the goodness which in turn brings quick relief even in most humid and hot environments. It does all this while not over burdening the utility bills by being very efficient, yes the AC has a perfect 5 star energy efficiency rating. It would be wise to conclude by saying that this AC is of high caliber and very capable and therefore is a fine example of what to expect from a 1.5 Ton Window AC.
