Build Aspect

The Whirlpool Neocool Pro 3S (SAR18E30NC0) is a low priced AC with 3 star energy efficiency rating. Both the indoor and outdoor unit are solidly built, especially the ODU which is a hefty one at 36 odd kilos. About the aesthetics the indoor unit is a rudimentary looking unit, in the sense that it lacks any design elements whatsoever. Having said that the AC has excellent fit and finish, and is worth the money spent. The remote control has a thoughtful layout which different button classes having different shapes, its intuitive!

Performance Aspect

Although the ODU has enormous weight the compressor is not particularly impressive. It is simply an average unit with fixed speed (non-inverter). Numerically speaking it has 17333 BTU/hour cooling capacity. As a result cooling is just mediocre. In contrast the fan blower is a strong one at 647 CFM, the draft of this AC is powerful. Unfortunately the AC is equipped with only 2 way motorized swing (up/down) and left/right direction needs to be set manually. This is a 3 star AC and as such the ISEER is on the lower side. In totality taking into account its price of under 30000 rupees it can be termed as one of the best 1.5 ton split AC in India.
