Build Aspect

For better or for worse? We would say better, AmazonBasics have been bringing some extremely low priced and decently equipped and decent quality products to us. This 1 Ton Split AC with inverter compressor is another such product. While the previous gen PBAC12K3INV301 was a Midea and made in China unit, the new one AB2020INAC020 is made in India by an Indian company. That being said it the AC is well made and feels quite robust generally, even if the fit and finish are not world class, it could have been better.

Performance Aspect

Coming to the meat of the product the AC is able to chill the room very quickly thanks to its inverter compressor with mediocre 11942 BTU and blower speed of approx 350 CFM. Besides the ISEER is a healthy 3.86 for a 3 star AC which aids in keeping the bills low. The remote control is a flimsy unit and we would have expected something better from AmazonBasics. However a PM 0.3 filter is provided with cleans the air of pollutants. Like a great deal many 1 ton split AC even this AC has only 2 way auto swing only. Finally to conclude it would be rather appropriate to term this a value for money 1 ton split AC in India.
