Build Aspect

The CAW18SN3R39F0 or Estra NX is a 1.5 ton 3 star non-inverter compressor air conditioner from Carrier. Overall the unit is well built and weighs more than half a ton at 54 kilos. The design is simple and feels quite cheap honestly. Same goes for the remote. This AC feels a budget proposition by its looks all the way. Moreover it seems that carrier have now removed the PM2.5 filter which was previously included with this model.

Performance Aspect

Performance wise the AC is a chilling machine and manages to effectively cool a mid sized room in under 30 minutes with ease, despite an average only 17401 BTU. A strong air flow capacity of 500 CFM puts some split ACs to shame and increases the overall effectiveness. Furthermore an ISEER of 3 is rather low and not anything to boast about. Regardless this 1.5 Ton window AC is a decent performer especially considering its price, strong airflow and overall cooling.

High ambient working in 50 degrees Celsius
