Build Aspect
Sporting the familiar Carrier face the CAW12ES3N8F1 is a 1 Ton 3 star window AC. The build quality is good and the Air conditioner seems well put together. Straight lines and the grill dominate most of the front of the AC. Moreover the AC utilizes copper for its coils and condensers which also have Anti corrosion Coating to extend the life of this AC. However the remote control is a cheap flimsy unit and is disappointing given the otherwise good quality build of the AC.
Performance Aspect
Coming to the meat of the AC, its cooling performance then. The AC is a at par performer with a relatively good 11601 BTU / hr cooling capacity. However that is let down but a somewhat under performing fan which has a top air volume capability of 300 CFM. While this fan speed is good for a small room, the AC can have a difficult getting the temperature under control quickly. Although once it does this low powered fan would not bother anymore. Also its worth mentioning that Carrier does not equip the Air conditioner with a particulate matter filter to capture air borne pollutants, instead only a dust filter is provided. Lastly although the AC fares 3 star in energy efficiency its 3.04 ISEER make it an efficient 3 star AC. In totality this is a good 1 ton window AC provided you are okay with a subpar fan speed.

Very good cooling capacity of 11601 BTU / hour.
Low noise at low fan speeds, just 49db
CONS
Remote control is flimsy.
Max fan speed leaves a lot to be desired.
No Air purification filter.
