Build Aspect

The 183V EZHD is a 1.5 Ton Inverter AC from the Voltas portfolio of AC. In sharp contrast to the 183VCZS this AC has rounded curvy design. Subsequently the split feels small and unobtrusive. Add to that the hidden temp. display and the design looks discreet and immaculate. On the flips side as expected the ODU has a ho hum design language and is skinny. Unfortunately it is rather flimsy in construction too. In some good news the remote is intuitive and has a good layout.

Performance Aspect

We did not let the build quality dampen our spirits. Although admittedly it was mistake. The cooling capacity failed to take the sting out of the build issues as it is just average at 17231 BTU. Nevertheless it does cool the room down, and that too adequately in as expected time. Whats even bad than a mediocre compressor, is the lethargic fan blower, it disappoints. In more depressing news the AC is only equipped with 2 way Auto swing and even lacks a PM 2.5 filter. So, it would be wise to conclude that this AC is a budget unit and therefore is equipped as such. And hence it is a definite contender if you are looking to buy a 1.5 ton split in India on a budget.
